Richard Knowles - aka 'Saville'
Paints and exhibits in pastels, acrylics, watercolour and oils. Saville is fascinated by the way light affects a scene and reflections of light on water. His paintings are in collections in France, USA and the UK. He is currently building a new studio. Richard is doing a pastel demonstration at the club on Monday, 10th November. Non-members welcome.

John W. Smith - aka 'Jay Dubya'
I am a local artist and have lived in Ashby De La Zouch for over thirty years, I paint mainly in acrylic but I keep an open mind and am always ready for a new challenge and a new medium. I paint in a contemporary style but I believe that realism still has a place in today’s art. My subject matter is whatever interests me; I enjoy painting portrait, landscape or still life.
Why ‘Jay Dubya’ ? Exhibiting at a gallery with two other ‘John Smith’s' led to some confusion!
Jay Dubya is a play on my Christian name’s initials John William…J.W…Jay Dubya
I could have been Will.i.am but someone beat me to it !
